Thomas O'Kane, New York

In 1870 Thomas O'Kane, a New York publisher and bookseller, reprinted the gift book Wreaths of Friendship (originally copyrighted in 1848 by Baker & Scribner). The earlier book had been edited by Arthur and F. C. Woodworth. This 12 mo., 240 page book contains 44 short stories/tales written by Woodworth or Arthur.

The O'Kane's edition's contents are almost identical to the earlier publications (including the engravings) published by Scribner & Baker and Charles Scribner. The O’Kane edition however has a different frontispiece and no longer mentions Woodworth as a co-author on the title page.

It was priced at $1.00.

Years later other publishers printed the contents of this book as "Buds and Blossoms".
