This firm published one T. S. Arthur title: Ten Nights in a
Bar-Room. It was part of three different publisher’s series.
Handy Volume Series (1899-1901). This collection of reprints was
published in two different formats. These 16 mo. (6” x 4.25”) books
have no illustrations and 175 pages.
The 1899 volume has the same format as the Handy Volume series
published by another Chicago area firm, E. A. Weeks & Co. / Weeks
Publishing Company. George M. Hill was previously the manager of the
Weeks Publishing Company. The 1900 and 1901 Handy Volume covers are
also the same as an earlier Weeks’ cover (as well as an E. A. Lawson
Company publication). These books had dust jackets.

Clover Leaf Series (1899-1901) is a multi authored series
of 12 mo. (7.5" x 5.25”) volume with silk ribbed cloth. Some deluxe
volumes are seen with gold gilt edges. The deluxe format of Ten Nights
in a Bar-Room includes a brief biography of Arthur as well as two other
titles: At the Green Dragon and The Umbrella-Mender. There are no
illustrations.

Marguerite Series (1899-1900) includes one Arthur title: Ten
Nights in a Bar-Room. This paperback series had been previously
published by E. A Weeks/Weeks Publishing Company between 1893 and 1898.
