Gottwals & McDonough, Cleveland

This company was located in Cleveland in the mid-1880’s. It only published one T. S. Arthur book: "Ten Nights in a Bar-Room".
This volume was published in two formats. There is no known priority between them. 

Both books have the old preface with the broken type in the word “Room” and the book on the left has Potter ads including the “Advice to Young People" ad. Both books have the Van Ingen “Sickle and Sheaf” picture as the frontispiece with the six “Potter” illustrations. These editions are probably early 1880’s.
