H. M. Caldwell, New York

In 1896 Herbert M. Caldwell established his New York publishing house. He had previously worked for the Henry Altemus publishing firm. Like Altemus, a majority of Caldwell's books were in publisher’s series and those titles were reprints of the classics, fiction, poetry, etc.

Caldwell was in business between 1896 and 1913. It printed one T. S. Arthur title: Ten Nights in a Bar Room. It is a reprint and was only published in Caldwell's Series.

The series and the years that "Ten Nights" was in each series are noted below. Representative pictures of each format are shown when I do not have an actual picture of the "Ten Nights" title.

Based on the Caldwell catalogues "Ten Nights" volumes were part of this series in only four years despite the fact hat the series was published between 1904 and 1912. These books are 6.5” x 4.25 and originally came within a labeled box.
