Penn Publishing Company, Philadelphia

This company which was established in 1889 published one T. S. Arthur related work. As early as 1893 and continuing at least into the 1920’s it printed the dramatization of Ten Nights in a Bar-Room. The 1909 pamphlet below and the one below it which was published no earlier than 1922 are abridged versions “new edition, revised and improved" of the work done by William W. Pratt.

The play opened in New York on August 23, 1858. It was incredibly popular and was performed countless times over the next 60 plus years.
