Holiday Publishing Co., Philadelphia
Because of financial setbacks the short lived Keystone Publishing
Co. was dissolved in 1890. The 33 T. S. Arthur’s it published in one of
two formats were identical to a format used previously by John E.
Potter & Co. as well as W. H. Harrison , Jr. In 1890 the Holiday
Publishing Co. of Philadelphia published Arthur titles in this same
format with a Keystone copyright. Most likely Holiday bought the plates
when Keystone went out of business.
No information about this company is known.
Presumably this firm published all 33 Arthur titles.
The copy here is: Cloth. Green. Black line drawn
illustrations/lettering and decorations. 7.5” x 5.25”. (There is no
gold gilt like the previous similar formats by the other publishers
which are noted above.)
All of Keystone's books are reprints.
