In 1885 this firm purchased the plates for T. S. Arthur's "Home Stories" from the Anderson School Book Company (John R. Anderson). This six title series had previously been published by Anderson as well as Sheldon & Co. (first editions).

This publishing house sold the six titles as a set for $6.00.

Cloth. Light green seen. Gold gilt lettering and illustration/decoration on the cover/ spine. 7.25" x 5". The frontispiece is the only illustration. There is also a J. R. Anderson title page which has an illustration.
