G. W. Cottrell & Co., Boston

G.W. Cottrell & Co. was a book publishing firm with Thos. W. Strong and G. W. Cottrell as partners. It was established in 1848. The partnership between G. W. Cottrell and Thos. W. Strong was dissolved in June, 1855.

Thereafter the company was known as G. W. Cottrell.
J. S. Locke & Co. succeeded Cottrell in 1870.

Cottrell died in Boston in 1895.

1848-1852 64 Cornhill
1853-1855 36 Cornhill
1855-1870 36 Cornhill

This publisher produced one T. S. Arthur title. It is a reprint: Advice to Young Ladies on Their Duties and Conduct in Life.

I have not seen this book. The references I have seen note 1851 as the date of publication. This would mean the G. W. Cottrell & Co. was the publisher. If it was published after 1855, then the publisher imprint would be G. W. Cottrell.
