W. B. Conkey Company, Chicago

Walter B. Conkey founded his company in 1877. Initially it was a bindery and printer but by the late 1890's it was publishing books on its own imprint.

Conkey only published one T. S. Arthur title. It is a reprinted edition of Ten Nights in a Bar-Room. The Conkey books were all published within publisher's series and none have any illustrations. They are all 7.5" x 5".

The series which are known to have the Arthur book are noted. As more information becomes available, this page will be supplemented. All the Conkey series were published between 1900 and about 1904. The 1904 catalogue does not note any Arthur titles.
