This firm succeeded Porter & Coates in 1895. It published three reprinted T. S. Arthur Titles. It was succeeded in 1904/1905 by the John C. Winston Co.

Ten Nights in a Bar-Room was published yearly by this firm.
Between 1896 and 1900 it was not part of a series. This format has not been seen. It is 12 mo. and cost 75 cents.

The Laurel Library is a 135 volume multi authored series which included books of fiction, classics, poetry, etc. This series ran from 1897-1899. It included Orange Blossoms. These books cost 75 cents each and had gilt tops. There are no illustrations in the Orange Blossoms. 8" x 5.5".

New Acorn Library
This 123 volume series of classics and fiction was published by Henry T. Coates as well as its successor John C. Winston Co. The book below is a transition copy with the imprint on the title page Coates but the Winston name as the publisher on the base of the spine.
