Carey and Hart, Philadelphia
Carey and Hart succeeded E. L. Carey and A. Hart in 1839. Carey was
the younger son of Mathew Carey and the brother of Henry C. Carey, well
known book publishers. The firm of Carey and Hart was in business until
1849.
There is evidence that this Philadelphia publisher only
printed one T. S. Arthur book. It is a first edition. There is no
evidence that this title was ever reprinted.
